Another night painting at the State Theater in Falls Church, VA. This time with a revamped, rejuvenated Particle. They blew me away on Saturday night and the painting was inspired. Those guys really help me channel some immediate, fluid cosmic debris. The painting started with the opening lines to 'In The Flesh', then chose to evolve into some sort of alien structure, filled with words, questions, ideas. Aqua Boy makes an appearance, the Cosmic Joctopi pops up, and a flair of Aztec seeped in for the first time.
The boys reminded me of what they're all about that night. Particle is a true work of living, breathing art. They've taken hits to keep going and they keep restructuring and reidentifying their sound. Molitz continues to melt my mind with the keys, Eric provides a thundering root to it all and Darren is a machine with a pulse. Ben Combe is an interplanetary agent in and of himself. Particle is streaming and water is life.
