Gaia Fights the Power
Gaia Fights the Power
Painted live to Particle at Starr Hill Music Hall, Charlottesville, VA on 11/14/06. This painting is signed on the back by the band.
This piece was created on 11/14/06 @ Starr Hill Music Hall in Charlottesville, VA to Particle. My friend Tucker Rogers, an amazing guitar player, joined Particle on stage during Fight the Power, hence the title of the painting. Ben Combe, the band's then guitarist embraced this painting immediately declaring, “This is what it looks like in my head.” This was a particularly important show for me, as I had been inspired by Frenchy, an artist from NOLA, at a Particle show at the Bonnaroo music festival years prior. So this was a full circle thing for me, to paint with the band that originally, by proxy, gave me the idea to do live painting. This painting is signed by the entire band on the back.
