Charmed in Charm City, CRB helps B’more BE MORE
04/15/10
I give thanks and praise, thankee sai.
This has been an incredible year. What else can I be but thankful…grateful for the experience and the love, light and laughter of everyone I’ve been surrounded by recently? With that said, since we last spoke, I got a chance to paint with the DJ Williams Projekt, the first band I ever painted with yon 5 years ago. They teamed up with The Heavy Pets from Florida who I’ve had the joy of painting with a few times now (these guys are amazing. See them now while you can still get a ticket for under $10 at some venues. This won’t last very long).
The resultant work is as follows…a nod to the heaviest pet I could think of.

She’s So Heavy: Painted live to The Heavy Pets and the DJ Williams Projekt on 04/09/10 at Rapture in Charlottesville, Virginia
10 x 13 matted and framed prints of this work are available for $60. Limited edition, larger sized giclees are coming as soon as I can snag a price list again. Contact me at crazyredbeard@crazyredbeard.com for more information. T-shirts are being made of this image as well so HOLLA.

Be MORE: Painted live to Shook and Damn Right for the 2nd Annual Charm City Fashion Show on 04/10/10 at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, Baltimore, MD; 24 x 36; $1300
So, obviously, Baltimore was a huge success the night following the show in Charlottesville. HUGE thanks to Blake Mobley of Basshound and Damn Right! for inviting me and making me a part of it all. Thanks to Beren for the idea of using black and white…mad love to you brother. And much, much appreciation to all of my friends involved in every venture…Rachel P, RJ, Joekiller, Jeyon Falsini for always accommodating me at shows, my family, GOD, Ragged Mountain Group Home, Shaun Daniel, Clay Scott…I really love you guys so much. You make my life so much fuller and better than I ever thought it could be.
Oh yeah…before I forget…Charlottesville…you missed it! The Silent Disco at Random Row Bookhouse was amazing but poorly attended. If you haven’t figured it out by now, Jeyon Falsini is bringing some amazing music to Charlottesville…PLEASE SUPPORT HIM. As one of the only underdogs out there up against a mega corp like Red Light, Jeyon manages to fill in the gaps that they miss. If you want to hear some truly magnificent, cutting edge stuff before it becomes completely commercialized, do yourself a favor and attend his events. Not hating on Red Light by any means, but some of the best music in our scene tends to get overshadowed by the mega giant that pushes product. Keep it local, keep it head friendly and keep it REAL. Special thanks to Axie Blundon for continuing to have his finger on the pulse and helping make these events happen as well.

There Is A Violent Thing Inside Of Me: painted live at the Silent Disco at Random Row Bookhouse in Charlottesville, Virginia on 04/07/10; 24 x 30; $750
