There’s something about Star(r)s…..
03/22/07: 336699. Divine numerology. This painting was special for a number of reasons and centers around the purity of 3. A reflection pool of Great Eye peers out of an indigo subconscious undermind, reflecting we over me…the one being total by being diametrically opposed. I was led to paint this by following a numeric pathway. Noticing Toltec like coincidences and occurrences of numbers and general life themes. Notice the date it was painted on: 03/11/06. 3×11=33, the “master number.” The two 3s separated stand for the two triangles which make up the Magen David. This live painting (which was the 3rd I’d ever attempted) worked both forwards and backwards in time to explain itself to me. In fact, it’s still unfolding and all I can do is marvel at the mystery. ..I..

On 11/14/06 things came full circle for me. I painted during Particle. I say full circle because I was first exposed to live painting at the second Bonnaroo, during the late night Particle set. I was mesmerized by the process unfolding right in front of my face. Whoever that guy was…I freaking salute you. Thanks for planting such a powerful, powerful seed simply by living your life. This particular night was very special for a lot of us in Charlottesville. One of my all time favorite wolfmen in the entire world, Legendarius himself, Tucker Rogers sat in with the band that night and shredded through a sinister version of Fight the Power. Big thanks to Natalie for being…well…Natalie and for doing what you do best…dropping love like it was science.
